How do you make sure reviewers give honest feedback?
Reviewers earn Heat and free burns per approved burn, never per positive burn. They earn more with a higher rating from site owners — and site owners consistently rate blunt, specific feedback highest. Nobody is paid cash; the incentive points at honesty.
A reviewer earns the same Heat whether they liked your site or not. What changes their reputation (and how many free burns they earn) is your rating, and blunt, specific feedback gets rated highest. Reviewers know this.
Reviewers also don't know who you are beyond a first name, so there's no relationship to protect. And the brief usually asks them to try to buy: the most honest signal is simply whether they would have.
