How long does a burn take?
The AI read lands in about a minute. A human recording lands usually within 1–2 days once a reviewer claims it; you get an email at the claim and again at the upload. Transcription and the Fire Score usually take 2–5 minutes after that.
Typical timeline
- Claimed — usually within a few hours of submitting. Targeted burns (specific age, income, region or business owners) can take longer because fewer reviewers match.
- Recorded and uploaded — usually within 1–2 days once a reviewer claims it, often the same day.
- Transcript and Fire Score — 2–5 minutes after upload. The burn page shows "Transcribing…" while this runs and refreshes itself.
If it seems stuck
- Waiting for a reviewer for more than a day: loosen the targeting, review a couple of sites yourself from Earn free burns (Flame reviewers' own burns jump the queue), or contact support and we'll nudge the queue.
- Video is there but no transcript after 30 minutes: the AI step retries automatically. If it's still blank the next day, report it from the burn page ("Report a problem") and we'll re-run it by hand.
