What exactly is a burn?
One burn = one real person screen-recording themselves using your website while they talk through what they're thinking. You get the video, a full transcript, and an AI-generated Fire Score report. Most burns run 5–12 minutes.
A burn is a single recorded session: a vetted reviewer opens your URL, tries to do what your brief asks (usually "try to buy" or "find out what this is"), and narrates every reaction out loud while their screen and microphone are recorded.
What makes it a burn and not a survey
- The reviewer is a stranger. They have never seen your site and get nothing for liking it.
- They talk the whole time. Silence is a reason for rejection, so you hear the hesitation, not just the click.
- It's at least two minutes and typically five to twelve.
- Every burn ends with written notes: the reviewer's answers to your closing question and a "would you buy?" score from 1 to 10.
What happens after the recording
The video is uploaded to your dashboard, transcribed, and scored. On three or more approved burns of the same URL, an Insight Report combines them into a ranked fix list. See What you get with every burn.
