Recording with the extension, step by step

1. 1On the burn page, read the brief, then press Start with the Recorder.
2. 2The site opens in a new tab and the toolbar flame shows REC? — it's armed for this burn.
3. 3Click the flame on the site's tab (or press Alt+Shift+B). Allow the microphone if Chrome asks. Recording starts; the elapsed time appears in the tab title.
4. 4Use the site and talk. Stay in that tab; opening the site in a different tab won't be recorded.
5. 5Click the flame again to stop. The extension uploads the video and brings you back to the burn page with the recording attached.
6. 6Write your notes and submit.

If something goes wrong

• The flame says nothing or is grey: go back to the burn page and press Start again to re-arm it.
• Upload failed: the extension keeps the recording and retries; if the burn page never receives it, contact support with the burn number.
